Event Announcement: “Iraq – Then and Now”

This year marks the 20th anniversary since the United States invasion of Iraq. How has this country transformed since then? What are the current dynamics shaping Iraq’s landscape? Join us as we delve into these questions and more at the upcoming event hosted by the Arabists’ Scientific Club titled “Iraq – Then and Now.”

The guest speakers include:

🔹 Krzysztof Płomiński – Former Polish ambassador to Iraq (1990-1996) and Saudi Arabia (1999-2003). With extensive experience in diplomacy and a profound understanding of the Middle East, Ambassador Płomiński will offer unique insights into Iraq’s past and present.

🔹 Zuzanna Nabulssi-Masełbas – Arabicist and PhD student at the University of Warsaw, as well as the vice-president of Almasdar. Zuzanna brings her expertise in Arabic studies and research to shed light on contemporary Iraqi issues.
